Multifly ATO and the University of Pecs are committed to support the next generation of professional pilots by offering advanced vocational training with state of the art educational methods. The 2 years long training program includes both theoretical and practical part where student pilots earn all qualifications required to apply for a flight crew position at any commercial air operator.
The training program consists of 4 semesters whereas 1204 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction are going to be given. During the first 3 semesters the student pilots acquire their very first pilot’s license and pass all necessary theoretical examinations required to advance further in their professional pilot training. The lectures are held by real aviation professionals with major scientific background which gives the students in depth insight to the world of professional aeronautics. Student pilots are having hands on experience on the latest technologies and methods used in aviation for flight planning and monitoring during the laboratory sessions.
The practical training gives more than 228 total flight hours in actual airplanes and 63 simulator time using industry standard synthetic training devices. Although, the Professional Airline Pilot Modular Training program is primarily focusing on ab-initio (zero hour) applicants crediting of previous flight experience might also apply. During the practical flight training active and retired airline transport pilots are ensuring the quality and experience needed for a successful start of a professional career.

Practical Flight Training modules at respective order:

Theoretical training modules:

The Engineering Assistant - Professional Airline Pilot Training’s official curriculum also includes additional mandatory core subjects such as applied mathematics, principles of electrics and electronics and studies in business and economics. The actual curriculum is available through the official website of the program:

Application Process and Requirements

The application process is primarily governed by the University of Pecs whereas international students might acquire student VISA for the entire training program.

Private Pilot License (Aeroplanes) Practical Module

The training is divided into 4 major parts where the student pilots may gain experience in different areas of operation. Some of the training parts are requiring solo flights while the student pilots are flying the aircraft alone with a supervising instructor on the ground. At the end of each training part student pilot should pass a progress-test with a senior flight instructor on-board to ensure readiness for the succeeding exercises.
At the end of the training the student pilots should pass a check-ride with a Flight Examiner on-board appointed by the supervising CAA (Civil Aviation Authority). After the successful completion of the previously mentioned check-ride the pilot license is going to be issued by the supervising CAA with the following privileges:

  • Ac as a Pilot-In-Command on Single Engine Piston aircraft up to 5,700 kilograms of maximum take-off weight (MTOW)
  • Able to carry passengers on cost-share basis (non-revenue traffic)
  • Operate over international borders on ad-hoc basis (non-scheduled flights)
Student Pilots should gain more experience in aviation in order to reinforce their knowledge during every-day operation and facilitate the further extension of their privileges and licenses:

After the completion of the previously mentioned individual training modules, the pilots may advance to the “professional” modules such as the Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot License or the Multi-Engine Class Rating with Instrument Upgrade.

Introduction to
Professional Pilot Training

Aviation is a continuously growing industry with various fields. In order to begin a career as a professional pilot who could fly for revenue (e.g.: carry passengers, freight or carry out agriculture activities) the first step is to complete the Private Pilot Training Module combined together with night rating and time building. After successful completion the pilots should enroll the professional training modules:
The EASA ATPL(A) Theoretical Credit is earned during the 3rd semester which enables the student pilots to complete their professional practical flight training modules.

Student life, hospitality and accommodation

There are various options available for university student pilots during their stay on the campus. Dormitories are provided by the University during the application procedure. Although, it is recommended for students to look for other options as well due to the limited capacities and convenience to facilitate the ideal living environment for their studies.
Pecs University is a truly diverse space to conduct professional studies with a living and breathing international community.
The University of Pécs works closely with a wide range of educational agencies, counselors and international academic services throughout the world. These agents and counselors can advise on the most suitable course for you, and offer support and advice throughout the application process.
We work closely with all of our representatives to ensure that they are able to give you the most up-to-date advice on everything from fees to visa applications and admission deadlines.
The following organizations have been appointed by the University of Pécs to advise and support potential candidates in their applications to the University.
